BS5163 Rising Stem Resilient Seated Gate Valve

Rising-stem cast iron gate valve is a valve that opens and closes by raising and lowering the valve stem. The valve stem nut is located on the valve cover or bracket. When the nut is rotated, the valve stem moves up and down. The gate is perpendicular to the direction of the fluid and can only be fully opened or fully closed. The flow rate cannot be adjusted.Its core structure includes:Rising stem design: the valve stem is exposed, the opening and closing status is intuitively visible, and it is easy to maintain and lubricate.Sealing form: mostly wedge-type gates, using the principle of self-sealing or forced sealing, with long service life and reliable sealing.Material: The valve body and main components are made of ductile iron), which is 20%-30% lighter than traditional gate valves, and has both strength and corrosion resistance.

The soft-sealing valve  move up and down by uses a rotating hand-wheel to drive the gate inside the valve body , and create an appropriate movement elastic deformation by uses the fully-covered rubber plate . The valve body and seat are tightly pressed together to obtain an excellent sealing effect. The valve has flat bottom straight channel, fully open type, medium can be fully circulated without accumulation of debris. It has the characteristics of  light switch, reliable sealing, good elastic memory and long service life.

Suitable for municipal, construction, and process pipeline systems, to connect or cut off pipeline devices, used as maintenance valves, on-off valves, drain valves and other functions.

·Low flow resistance: Straight-through valve body structure, the medium flows in a straight line, the flow resistance is small, and it is suitable for large flow scenarios.

·Effortless opening and closing: The movement direction of the gate is perpendicular to the flow direction of the medium, and the operating torque is small, which is especially suitable for high pressure difference environment.

·Bidirectional sealing: The medium can flow in both directions, and the installation direction is not restricted.
