Butterfly Valve
Core Structural Features
Simple and compact: It consists of a valve body, a butterfly plate, a valve stem and a sealing component. It is small in size and light in weight. It only needs to rotate 90° to open and close.
Low flow resistance design: When fully open, the thickness of the butterfly plate is the only resistance, the pressure drop is small, and the flow control performance is excellent.
Technical Parameters
Product Description
Seal type:
Elastic seal:
Valve seat material: synthetic rubber or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) + rubber composite valve seat, which has both elasticity and wear resistance.
Sealing principle: The butterfly plate rotates to squeeze the elastic valve seat, and the deformation elastic force is used to form a sealing pressure ratio.
Metal seal: It is suitable for high temperature and high pressure conditions, but it is not detailed in the article.
Flange butterfly valve optimization design:
Composite valve seat: polytetrafluoroethylene (low friction, aging resistance) and synthetic rubber (elasticity) are superimposed to improve the sealing life.
Butterfly plate anti-corrosion: The surface of the butterfly plate is fully covered with polytetrafluoroethylene to enhance corrosion resistance.
Midline structure: The rotation center of the butterfly plate coincides with the axis of the valve body, the sealing surface is symmetrical, and the opening and closing torque is small.
Applicable scenarios:
Medium and low pressure pipelines such as water treatment, HVAC, and chemical industry are especially suitable for corrosive media and frequent opening and closing conditions.
Summary: The butterfly valve has the core advantages of light structure, flexible operation and low flow resistance. The flange butterfly valve further improves the sealing reliability and service life through composite sealing materials and anti-corrosion design.
