Maintain water priming:
When the water pump stops, the bottom valve automatically closes by means of the valve flap (mostly lift type or swing type), sealing the water inside the pump body and the suction pipe to prevent it from flowing back to the water source (such as a water pool or well).
When restarting the water pump, there is no need to refill water; it can be used to draw water directly.
Prevent impurities from being inhaled:
The bottom of the valve body is usually equipped with a strainer to prevent sand and debris from entering the pipeline and to protect the impeller of the water pump.
