Repair clamp for pipe

Sep. 06, 2025

A pipe repair tool, commonly known as a "half joint," is an emergency device used to quickly repair damaged pipes. It's particularly widely used in ductile iron water pipelines. We offer a variety of pipe repair tools in various sizes, lengths, and widths, and we can also customize a custom pipe repair tool for your specific pipeline.

Its main body is precision-cast from high-strength ductile iron (QT450-10), combining the rigidity of cast iron with the toughness of steel. This ensures the repair device possesses extremely high pressure-bearing and impact resistance, effectively withstanding internal pipeline water pressure and external loads. The structure is typically a two-piece design, secured with high-strength bolts and internally inlaid with a food-grade NBR or EPDM rubber seal. During installation, simply wrap the two-piece half joint around the leaking area (such as a crack, hole, or fracture) and symmetrically tighten the bolts to create a 360° uniform clamping force, causing the rubber seal to elastically deform and instantly stop the leak.

This product offers significant advantages: It requires no water shut-off, welding, or specialized tools, is easy to operate, and repairs are extremely fast, significantly reducing downtime, economic losses, and construction risks. Its corrosion resistance, long life, and perfect compatibility with ductile iron pipe make it an ideal choice for emergency repairs, maintenance, and permanent pipeline restoration within the water industry.
